Bike rides ti the Isle of Ré
VILLAGE of SAINT-CLÉMENT-DES-BALEINES
Located on the northwest tip of the Île de Ré, the village of Saint-Clément-des-Baleines is a preserved village, away from the crowds.
Since the houses we offer for hire, shops and services within walking distance (market, restaurants, press, supermarket, bicycle rental...).
The nearest beaches are located on the Wild Coast, a few hundred meters from the houses. They are uncrowded, ideal for walking, sunbathe or look for shells.
On a bicycle kick (2 km), you are at the plage de la Conche, the largest (3 km) and the most beautiful beach of Île de Ré.
Cross the nature reserve of birds ''Lileau des Niges'' and salt marshes to reach the surf spots, the village ''Les Portes en Ré'', lively during the contract or the cocktail hour, the sailing club ''la Patache'' or the beach ''Trousse-Chemise''.
Or, again by bike paths in the wilderness, go to the market of Ars en Ré, walk in the streets, have a drink on the harbor…
Like bike rides ? Go to Saint Martin de Ré, town listed as World heritage by Unesco. Depending on the orientation, the wind (and your calves), you put 45 minutes a 1h15. Stop by the ocean to enjoy seafood or fish, or lunch on the harbor. Visit the city and taste ice cream at La Martinière (listed among the top 5 French glaciers).
